Nursing By The Numbers

I found some interesting stats in this article on the Newark Advocate website. It talks about how the aging population will continue increase the need for more qualified nurses in the US. 
Check out these numbers: 

Number of registered nurses employed in 2006: 2,505,000
 
Projected employment in 2016: 3,092,000
 
Percent increase from 2006-16: 23 percent
 
Median annual earnings for registered nurses, May 2006: $57,280

Nursing Shortage Overpowers Recession

More evidence that nursing is recession proof. A story was released on the msnbc website on how recruiters are offering crazy incentives to attract the passive job seeker. Check it out.
